WE BELIEVE IN CHANGE
As a Bible-based Christian church, Sunshine Community Church holds to the teachings found in the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and the greatest authority in our lives. We believe in one eternal God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God’s son, Jesus, was born of a virgin, fully God and man, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and rose from the dead. We believe He is now seated at the right hand of God until He returns to make everything new. We believe that because of Jesus, we can be forgiven for everything we’ve done wrong and be given the gift of eternal life. To do this, a person must believe that Jesus is God’s son, confess him as Lord of your life, and commit to a new life of grateful obedience to him. We don’t have to do this alone, either – all Christ-followers are given the gift of the Holy Spirit, who actively works to allow believers to live a Godly life. God also gives us one another as a support and help in the growing process!
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. This means it is completely true and authoritative in all areas of faith and practice. The Bible is a source of strength, direction, and wisdom for those who apply it to their lives.

GOD
We believe in one, triune God existing in three, distinct persons as revealed in the Holy Scripures: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully and completely God, sharing all of the divine attributes in a perfect, loving community.

THE FATHER
We believe that the first person of this Trinity is God the Father, Almighty Creator and Sustainer of all things. God the Father calls all those who have faith in Jesus Christ his children by gracious adoption. We can be accepted by God and never be forsaken by him!

JESUS CHRIST
We believe that the second person of this Trinity is God the Son, Jesus Christ, who came to earth as man, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and arose from the dead to give us new life. Faith in Jesus and his sacrifice changes everything. Everyone who turns from sin to follow him can be saved and healed, no matter what they’ve been through or done!

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the third person of this Trinity is God the Holy Spirit, who lives in believers, empowers them to do ministry, and continually nurtures them that they may grow in their understanding and expression of the Christian life. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live like Jesus did and keep growing up to be more and more like him.

MINISTRY
We believe that God does His work through the ministry of His people – the Church – as they fulfill the Great Commission. We share the good news with others and grow disciples by proclaiming the gospel in word and in action as we serve the spiritual and physical needs of others in the Name of Jesus.
